#11 when your mind goes wild with ideas

ever just have a bunch of ideas buzzing around in your head and you can't help but wish you could make them reality? I have ideas for videos, novels and just.. everything bouncing around in my brain. If only you could get paid for enjoying yourself and doing what you want, I'd be a millionaire! Now, for my latest idea, all I need is a camera crew and some editing software....

#10 "You have gorgeous eyes"

Ever gotten a compliment that just made your day? Yeah, that seems to be happening a lot lately no thanks to a certain someone! I like it though, obviously. I never feel good about myself, so it's nice to get a compliment like that every once in a while. Personally, I believe that everyone deserves to be complimented every day, everyone is beautiful in some way. I wish everyone knew that they had something that made them unique, something that made them beautiful. So the next time you see someone who you think may need a pick-me-up, give them a compliment :)

#9 realizing something before it's too late

So, looks like my dreams of being a chef are shattered, but it's ok. At least I found out before I spent thousands of dollars on a career path that my body would reject. I can still cook for my family and all that. Besides, I think I would prefer to not work 40 hours in 3 days. I guess it's on to event planning and marketing for me! I'm alright with this, I'm glad I know now.

#8- getting a diagnosis

Finally, after more than a year (that we know of) of being sick with an unknown illness, at least 20 E.R visits, too-many-to-count doctor's appointments and a week in the hospital, I got a diagnosis. I'll have this disease for the rest of my life, and I'll have to tak medications every day, but at least I have a name for it. At least I'll understand why my ankles are too sore and swollen to stand, or why it hurts my entire body when I eat. At least I know, and at least the medications help take away the pain. Thankfully I have some great doctor's helping me out. They're all very understanding and friendly, I'd be scared shitless without them and their support. Thanks to all the doctors and nurses and specialist and all those other people that helped me out at mcmaster children's hospital. In case any of you ever read this, though I doubt you will, how wonderful you guys are made the week that I was there way better than it could have been. You're an amazing group of people, don't ever stop.

#7- Funny classes

Today I watched some idiot eat a huge marble of highly concentrated wasabi, it kind of made my day. I made california rolls as my cooking summative and since a bunch of people had never tried wasabi before, we made them try it. He looked calm at first, and then he flailed and "HHOOOOOOO!!!"-ed for a little while and then got a free iced tea for doing it. Probably the best class I've had this year.

#6- A good movie with friends

Nothing beats going out with a close friend or two and seeing a good movie. You know, you see the advertisement and think "oh that would be cool", and never think of that movie again, then out of nowhere you get a text asking for a double date to go see it. You agree, of course, and it turns out that the movie is awesome! The familiar smell of popcorn fills the air, and you go through the same struggle you always do to find seats together. It's comforting to know that the theater experience will never change, except for the whole 3D thing of course. There will always be buttery, salty popcorn, slushies, sticky floors, cute teenage couples seeing romantic films, families seeing cheesy animal films, and groups of friends all excitedly walking out of the theater that just finished showing a horror film. It hasn't changed since I started seeing movies in theaters and I hope it never does. I want my children and my children's children to experience the same thing. It's just something that has been perfected with very little room for improvement. I can't wait to go out and see another movie sometime soon!

#5- Surviving rapture

I'm  not sure this needs an explanation. I personally never believed that it would happen, but I'm glad nobody did anything crazy, like a suicide bombing near my house, out of fear. If you had to survive an apocolypse, what kind would it be? Personally, I'd pick zombie apocolypse, but only if they were shawn of the dead zombies and not resident evil zombies. I'm not fit enough to out-run resident evil zombies.
